My Role
I have been working on this game from the very beginning with help from my team. I started with the project plan and proposal pitch, which actually started as a totally different game theme (super heroes). I also introduced everyone to JIRA & Confluence. I trained the whole company about implementing and using JIRA along with Agile & Scrum practices that best fits the current structure of the institution.
All these were properly documented in Confluence for everyone to see and review. I have also created documentations for the policies, standard operating procedures, and high design document for the Game.
As I acquired the game's requirements, I broke them down into user stories, tasks, and sub-tasks which I have then inscribed within JIRA for the team to pick along with the Acceptance criteria. I've created the project plan and estimates for each milestone like the Prototype, Alpha, and Closed Beta stages. I have implemented and utilized practices like Sprint Planning Meetings, daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review Meetings, Retrospectives, internal testing,

What I've learned
What I would have Improved
- There will always be changes - so don't get too attached
- There will come a time that stakeholders, clients, ceo's will have a sudden change of heart right in the middle of the production. This is a common event not only with startups but even with big old studios. Btw, this game actually started as a 'Slots' game.
- If you want to do it right, do it yourself
- There comes a time when things aren't just happening the way you have envisioned it or things have gone on a very different direction. This is when you take a stand, do things yourself and show your team how its done at the same time.
- Automation is key
- Sometimes, there can be an easy way out. For example, I have plotted the lead time on level design for about 8 weeks (300 levels), and then one of our developers proposed to try an excel based editor tool to automate the data input for each level instead of manually typing them and saving them in Unity. This saved us a lot of time and the tool can also be reused for future projects.
What I would have Improved
- If I am the major shot-caller for I would stick to the MVP first and maybe one special feature and launch the game within the first proposed date.
- What happened was all features thought of were all dumped into the first launch and nothing left for the future updates. This might pose a problem post-launch
- I would have allotted more budget to production instead of Marketing... at least until the game is at 95%.

Game Description
These are several published slot games for Android and iOS. Each published slot game has its own major them and there are 40+ different levels with relevant theme on them as well.
The Team
The Team is composed of people from different countries around the world. We all have different time-zones but we all meet within the company's core hours. There are 4 Asset Teams (responsible for creating artworks, animations, and effects), a Game Design team, QA team, and a Game Developer team. There are also another team working on the development of internal tools like our level design application, and our slot simulator.
My Role
As Game Producer, I am in charge with handling each game title to be published every 2 weeks. I gather & produce all resources for the team like image references, themes for future games, symbols for each theme, level design (3x5, 4x5, 3x6, 4x6, etc), as well as managing team leads, participate & facilitate daily scrums, review meetings, kickoff meetings, and sometimes creating animation guidelines, drawings for references, and a lot more.
I then created user stories and sub-tasks for each new symbol, asset, feature, animation, effects, and bugs within JIRA. The team usually picks up the ones on the top or their own preferred user story. We measure sprints using time (hours & minutes).
I also created and documented policies, SOP's, guidelines, meetings, etc.

What I've Learned
- Variety is key
- There are plenty of themes and symbols used on other slot games that are always being re-used by the other competitors. As Producer, it is my task and responsibility to provide unique materials for our players. Therefore, I made sure that most of the symbols or themes being produced are not yet seen from any other slot games.
- Research sources
- Since I am the one in charge of providing reference materials for the whole team, I have broaden my search vocabulary from google to a lot more reliable sources like pinterest.
- Learn new tools
- Our team's goal is to create & publish a new slot game every 2 weeks while updating old ones every week with a new level and content. Since the company now has like dozens of published slot games already, we are soon getting drowned

BLUE GATE: THE QUEST FOR ETERNITY
overview
Based on my own short novel 'Blue Gate'. This is a 2D RPG game made with RPG Maker XP using combined scripts from online contributors, modified scripts, and own scripts. The main theme of the game is army building and decision making similar to the ideas of Pokemon & Suikoden.
The game also includes the collection of ancient runes which serves as the characters' source of magic.
